Ketch 55 Seafood Grill

Ketch 55: We dined in, there was another family and several locals there. It was a clean and friendly atmosphere, everyone was very polite and respectful. Our waitress “Maria” especially (Maria was funny, helpful and very nice). The appetizers: banging shrimp and calamari were very delicious. Our entrees: ground chuck burger was really good, the Mahi tacos were really good and the seafood Alfredo was great.

Excellent place for an upscale dinner. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. A decent selection of beverages. The food selection was great. Asian tuna, shrimp and grits, meatloaf were some of the items enjoyed.

We ordered shrimp and grits, Asian tuna, oysters (steamed), tuna wonton tostada, fried goat cheese, and Caesar salad. The flavor mixture of the tuna tostada, Asian tuna, & shrimp & grits were delicious and worked together so well. The oysters and fried goat cheese were also cooked perfectly. This is one of the best restaurants in Avon that we’ve been to and we’ve been coming here for years. The severs and hostesses were so accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend!

I stopped here mid-afternoon during a slow time and was seated immediately. Staff was attentive and friendly. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with fries and was not disappointed. I then had the keylime pie for dessert and was in heaven. Made just right :) Thank you

We arrived at 5:45 on Saturday 10/14 -- no wait to be seated. We were greeted quickly by our server and our drinks were brought to the table in less than 3 minutes. Our server (Jeannie L.) covered the special of the day and mentioned the featured fish varieties. The parking lot was fairly crowded, but there were plenty of tables available. However, the restaurant began to fill up around around 6. Food was served surprisingly quickly -- hot, fresh and very flavorful. My wife's filet was cooked a perfect medium rare and she enjoyed the side of potatoes. She never likes haricots verts but I thought they were very good. My seared yellow fin tuna special was superb (kudos to the chef). I really like tuna but I'm hesitant to order it because many times it will be ice cold in the center. I prefer it medium rare with a definite warm center. The accompanying Asian style noodles, veggies and sauce were very good. The carrots were a bit too al dente for my liking. Both of the desserts were excellent (tiramisu and apple dumpling) and had been made in house (we met the pastry chef as she was also working the tables). Ketch 55 will definitely be on our list of restaurants to return to in the future. Caution: The driveway and parking lot are ridiculous. It would be a good idea to arrive in an off-road vehicle due to the size and depths of the potholes.

The shrimp and grits dish was SPECTACULAR. Our server, Isabella, was so nice, very accommodating, kind, and a pleasure to speak with. She answered all of our nosy personal questions about her background with a smile. I think we're going back there this evening before heading home tomorrow.

Nothing better than having a fantastic meal which is a result of great service from the kitchen to the table! Avery was a great waitress! I had the Scottish Salmon and my husband the swordfish (catch of the day), then we shared the in-house made apple dumpling which was sooooo good! I honestly would recommend anything as I am sure everything on the menu is fantastic! Thanks for the delicious meal guys, your doing it right!
